07-25-2007 | Source: LatinFinance.com

Mexican constructor Empresas ICA, together with Goldman Sachs Infrastructure Partners I, look set to win the tender from the Mexican government to operate four local toll roads after placing a bid worth $4.1 billion (MXN44.1billion). The winning bidder for the 30-year operating contracts will be announced on August 6, according to ICA . The constructor is up against Impulsora del Desarrollo (IDEAL), Empleo en America Latina and Portuguese highway operator Brisa-Auto Estradas de Portugal. Earlier this week, President Felipe Calderón unveiled his government’s ambitious $38 billion spending plans on infrastructure - The National Infrastructure Program 2007-2012 – which looks set to benefit the country’s construction industry.
