Software maker, CA, is acquiring privately-held Nimsoft for $350 million in cash, The Wall Street Journal reports. With the deal, which is likely to close by March 31, most of Nimsofts 120 employees, including CEO Gary Read, will join CA, adds Bloomberg.
Deutsche Bank served as the financial adviser for Nimsoft, while Goodwin Procter acted as its counselor. Baker Botts provided legal advice to CA on the transaction. The company is also likely to purchase 3Tera, following its acquisitions of Cassatt, NetQoS and Oblicore.
