Billionaire Warren Buffett, the owner of Berkshire Hathaway, has doubled his stake in the world’s largest retailer, Wal-Mart Stores, The Wall Street Journal reports. The company has increased its stake to 37.8 million shares, worth $1.86 billion, from 19.9 million shares, adds City A.M.
The company has also purchased 27,366 shares of commercial insurer, Travelers Companies, 3.4 million American depositary receipts of food maker, Nestle, and 3.625 million shares of waste-management firm, Republic Services. Buffett has also boosted his stake in Wells Fargo by nearly 11 million shares to 313.4 million shares.
