John Kilduff, an energy analyst, has left MF Global to launch a food and energy commodity hedge fund, Bloomberg reports. The new hedge fund, Round Earth Capital, will trade in commodities including cocoa, coffee, sugar, crude oil and gasoline.
The co-founders of Round Earth include Marcelo Dorea, who has worked with Phibro and Goldman Sachs, and Carl Whelahan, who previously worked for Credit Suisse. Kilduff will continue to be a contributor on General Electric’s CNBC cable-television station.
