Commercial Mortgage Delinquencies Hit 4.7%

Commercial mortgage delinquencies in the U.S. reached an estimated 4.7% in the third quarter, according to Foresight Analytics, Globe St. reports. The estimated rate–final figures won’t be out until late next month--is double that of a year ago, but still well below the 8% recorded eight years ago. Nevertheless, Matthew Anderson, a principal at AA, called the rising rate worrisome, given the weak economy coupled with tight credit and a large number of commercial mortgages due in coming years.
