The Mexican government will not create a new state power company to replace Luz y Fuerza del Centro, Bloomberg reports. Comision Federal de Electricidad (CFE) will be in charge of electricity distribution.
Mexican president, Felipe Calderon, had ordered to liquidate power supplier, Luz y Fuerza. The step was taken due to the utility’s unsustainable finances and increasing losses.
