Paraguay is planning to restructure state-run oil company, Petropar and state-controlled cement producer, INC, BNamericas reports. Industry and commerce minister, Francisco Rivas, is reviewing possible options, including direct privatization, capitalization and outsourcing.
Rivas is also considering the formation of firms with shares held by both the state and private companies. The country intends to decrease the workers in Petropar and INC and relocate employees to other institutions.
