Telecom Italia is planning to sell its stake in its Argentine unit, Bloomberg reports. The company has hired Credit Suisse to analyze options, including the sale of Telecom Argentina after an antitrust probe.
The Spanish parent of Telefonica de Argentina, Telecom Argentina’s main rival, owns a stake in Telecom Italia. Argentine regulators are investigating whether the Italian company’s ties to Argentina’s largest telecoms breach monopoly rules.
