U.K.’s Cobham is buying Argotek, a privately-owned provider of high-end information services to the U.S. intelligence community for $36.25 million, The Financial Times reports. The move will help the defense and aerospace group to expand its presence in the U.S. national security market.
Cobham made five acquisitions across the Atlantic for a cumulative value of $1.2 billion in the defense market in 2008. Argotek’s takeover is Cobham’s fourth in the surveillance and security markets and will help in expanding technical depth and customer base.
