CB Richard Ellis has hired a property derivatives specialist from Goldman Sachs, to bolster its financial advisory team, Financial News reports.

The investment banking division of CB Richard Ellis, CBRE Real Estate Finance, has hired Guy Powdrill as a senior director of real estate finance.

Powdrill was earlier in property derivatives sales with Goldman Sachs. CBRE’s move into financial advisory works comes as direct commercial real estate values continue to decline amidst the real estate crisis.
