DLA Piper has secured the services of M&A specialist Daniel W. Lee, reports Asia Legal Business News.

Lee, who will work out of the firm’s Tokyo office, was previously general counsel at IBM Korea and a foreign legal consultant with Korean firm Kim & Chang, has acted on a number of billion- dollar investments by some of Korea’s largest companies.

It is expected that his extensive M&A, compliance and forensic & regulatory expertise will heighten the firm’s ability to service Japanese companies as well as other clients who have investment interests in Korea.
