Billionaire U.S. investor Carl Icahn, has increased his stake in Motorola, the troubled U.S. mobile phone maker, to 7.6%, reports The Financial Times.
In a filing made yesterday with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Icahn reported that he now owns 172.2 million Motorola shares, an in crease of 6.4% from 144.6 million, and spent a total of $2.36 billion to acquire the stake.
