The Malaysian government's RM840 million Islamic ETF, which will be
listed on
Bursa Malaysia this week, may have a
second tranche launched
in U.S. dollars later this year if investor demand is encouraging,
according to
The Business Times.
"It could
be in U.S. dollars or in ringgit. If there is strong demand in this,
there could be a second tranche within the same fund," said Zainal
Izlan Zainal Abidin, i-VCAP Managements ceo.
The
company is the manager for the MyETF Dow Jones Islamic Market Malaysia
Titans 25, an Islamic fund that allows investors to gain immediate
exposure to 25 leading shariah-compliant stocks listed on the local
bourse.
