The U.S. Federal Communications Commission has approved AT&T’s $944 million acquisition of Centennial Communications, Bloomberg reports. The second-largest U.S. mobile-telephone company has secured regulatory approval on a 5-to-0 vote.
AT&T is required to continue Centennial’s roaming agreements for four years under certain subscriber conditions, adds Reuters. AT&T will maintain a CDMA network in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands for 18 months.
