The North Dakota Teachers’ Fund for Retirement is planning to begin an asset/liability study in 2010, IM Weekly reports. The plan may look for an investment consultant to assist with the study, or use Callan Associates, the consultant for the North Dakota State Investment Board.
The $1.3 billion system’s asset allocation comprises 26% U.S. large-cap equity, 16% international equity, 13% domestic fixed-income, 12% real estate, 8% high yield, 9% U.S. small-cap equity, 6% private equity, 5% each to emerging markets equity and international fixed-income and below 1% cash.
